Which models have a belt/chain?
Kia soul cars with the Gamma and Nu engines have a chain while the ones with the Beta engine have a belt. In 2012 Kia soul cars for Europe got the 1.6 L GDI and CRDI engines with a 6 speed manual and automatic. In the same year, the 2.0 Nu engine was introduced. The GDI engine produces about 138 hp and the Nu engine about 162 hp. The Beta and U engines produce around 140 hp and 125 hp respectively.
In 2014 a limited edition of the Kia Soul was released called the "Red Zone" with red accents and alloy wheels of which around 2000 were made. Other limited editions for the Soul include the Soul Denim of which 1200 were made and the Dragon version of which 1900 were produced. In 2010, the Soul Flex was the first flexible fuel vehicle in Kia's lineup and had a better fuel economy than their existing gasoline cars.
